Day 1 (Sunday), Arrival in Bucharest

  • Flight  to Bucharest (optional)
  • Bucharest-Airport-hotel transfer
  • Welcome dinner and get to know round


Day 2 (Monday), Bucharest- Sinaia – Brasov

  • City-tour of Bucharest (also called small Paris) 100 years ago: tour the old town, the green part of the city and some of the architectural jewels of the city (incl. Casa Poporului)
  • Transfer to Sinaia for a visit at the royal palace Peles, residence of the Hohenzollern monarchy until 1947
  • Arrival in Brasov, for a relaxing dinner in the Central Square with a unique view on the mountains and the 13th century old Black Church



Day 3 (Tuesday), Brasov – Rasnov – Poiana Brasov

  • Walking tour of beautiful old town Brasov, visiting the old district Schei, the Black Church and its Saxon History Museum and the newer buildings in the center (marked by recent history, in particular during the 1989 revolution)
  • Visit of the medieval Saxon fortress, at Rasnov
  • Lift to top of Carpathians for a breathtaking view from almost 2000 m
  • Traditional dinner in mountain resort Poiana Brasov


Day 4 (Wednesday), Brasov – Neamt – Gura-Humorului (Monasteries)

  • Transfer to Moldova to visit some of the medieval monasteries in the area, famous for the exterior paintings on their walls
  • Tour of the medieval Neamtului fortress to learn about the 16th century siege and heroics of the locals against the Polish army

Day 5 (Thursday), Moldovan Monasteries – Pass Tihuta & Dracula Hotel – Sighisoara

  • Visit of the Voronet monastery, famous for its unique blue color, which has stood against tough weather conditions for more than 500 years
  • Panoramic roadtrip on top of the Carpathians on Tihuta Pass, with a stop for lunch and panoramic view at Dracula Hotel
  • Transfer to Sighisoara and evening tour of the only still inhabited medieval citadel in Europe


Day 6 (Friday), Sighisora – Biertan – Transfagarasanu (only open July-Sept) – Vidraru

  • Visit of the fortified church in Biertan, part of the Unesco heritage
  • Panoramic roadtrip on Transfagarasanu (only for trips in July to Sept), one of the most spectacular roads in the world, at 2000 m on the top of the mountains
    • Stop for lunach and walks at Balea Lake
  • Arrival at the Vidraru lake and isit of the largest hydropower dam in Eastern Europe

Day 7 (Saturday), Vidraru – Bucharest

  • Enjoy your last morning of the tour on a boat trip on the Vidraru lake, admiring the spectacular views of mountains and wild forests
  • Return to Bucharest and airport transfer – See you on your next trip to Romania
