Day 1 (Friday), Arrival in Cluj-Napoca

  • Flight  to Cluj (optional)
  • Cluj-Airport-hotel transfer
  • Welcome dinner and get to know round


Day 2 (Saturday), Cluj-Napoca – Maramures (Borsa)

  • City-tour of Cluj-Napoca old town, intro to Romania while enjoying coffee break in the historical Central square, epicenter of key local events
  • Transfer to Borsa, in the heart of Maramures
  • Evening walk and dinner in the mystique landscape of Maramures


Day 3 (Suday), Maramures – Baia Mare – Sighet

  • Walking tour of old town Baia Mare
  • Visit of Memorial of Communist atrocities in Sighet
  • Spiritual journey to funny poetry cemetery in Sapanta, where locals face death of their beloved ones with an ironical verse/ poem
  • Dive further into your spiritual journey with a tour of traditional Maramures wooden churches and monasteries, guided by a local nun


Day 4 (Monday), Maramures – Viseu – Bucovina

  • Mountain day – embark on a unique journey with the “mocanita” steam train, to discover the magical landscape of Maramures, its history linked to traditions going back even 2000 years to our Dacian ancestors, linked to the Orthodox religion deeply rooted in the local culture, as well as to local craftsmanship, mining and wood processing
  • Transfer to Bucovina, traditional dinner in the nature while watching the sun setting down over the serene hills of the region


Day 5 (Tuesday), Moldovan Monasteries – Iasi

  • Continue you spiritual journey in the land of Orthodoxism with tours guided by local nuns in the unique monasteries in Moldova, with their typical original paintings (300-500 years old) on their outer walls
  • Visit the cultural capital of Romania in Iasi, with its rich heritage of poets and writers, its wealth of old churches dating back even to the 14th century, its vibrant bohemian street culture and its hospitable locals


Day 6 (Wednesday), Iasi – Neamt – Sovata

  • Continue your magical journey to the natural wonders in the Eastern Carpathians, with its volcanic lakes, its thermal water spring wells and its unique lava shaped gorges
  • Transfer to Sovata mountain resort, to enjoy a multicultural evening with special local delights
  • Traditional good-bye dinner in Sovata


Day 7 (Thursday), Sovata – Cluj-Napoca

  • Return to Cluj-Napoca, time for shopping and strolling
  • Airport transfer – See you on your next trip to Romania
